Diane Zabich

Diane is a registered architect living and practicing in Illinois who comes from a family of builders, engineers and architects. She graduated from Yale with a degree in American Studies and added a Masters of Architecture from UIC. Diane subsequently practiced at Perkins + Will in education and interiors, and at Booth Hansen on many varied architecture, interiors, restoration and research projects.

Diane started her own eponymous firm in 2015. Her work is guided by the strong belief that architecture and interiors are two arms of the same discipline. She focuses on residential projects where she enhances her clients’ everyday existence by bringing their visions to life with her design aesthetic and expertise. Diane’s view is broad and specific, artsy and calculated.

Ah but what does that mean? What is it that sets her apart? Well, she has a great eye and an understanding of how to achieve building or composing what her clients and she envision. She has the ability to see the big picture and keep the overall goals in mind while focusing on the massive amount of details required in a project. She can be incredibly direct when needed but knows patience. She has a good sense of humor and can work with many sorts of individuals which is important in the complex world of clients and contractors. She is good at managing and working with various levels of budget and not great at hiding her emotions.
